Warm, natural materials

Stark all-white kitchens are giving way to warm timber tones, natural stone worktops, and textured tiles. Clients want spaces that feel lived-in and grounded, not showroom-perfect.

Broken-plan living

Fully open-plan spaces are being softened with partial partitions, step-changes in flooring, or half-height walls — giving a sense of separate zones without losing the open, sociable feel.

Statement kitchen islands

Islands are getting bigger and doing more: seating, extra storage, sometimes even a small prep sink or wine fridge built in, rather than just an extra worktop.

Multi-use rooms

With more people working from home at least part of the week, spare rooms and landings are increasingly designed to flex between home office, guest space, and playroom.

Energy-conscious choices

Underfloor heating, better insulation, and triple glazing are now standard requests rather than upgrades — driven as much by energy bills as by comfort.
