Location: Dadford, Buckinghamshire | Completed: April 2026

This traditional stone barn in Dadford needed a full rebuild — not a repair. The brief was to reconstruct it using reclaimed natural stone, so the finished building would keep the exact character of the original rather than looking like a modern replacement.

Every stage was carried out with close attention to detail: sourcing and setting the reclaimed stone, incorporating modern structural elements underneath, and bringing the building up to current standards with high-performance insulation throughout.
The result is a barn that looks every bit as original as before, but is now genuinely durable and energy-efficient — heritage character with none of the drawbacks of an ageing structure.
Credit to Victor, our Senior Construction Specialist, for leading another rebuild where getting the reclaimed stonework right was as important as the structure behind it.
